Ubuntu for Tablets

Coming to a Nexus device near you, the Ubuntu Tablet experience is almost here.

From the video it looks pretty solid, and the future implications are quite shocking. Having all available Ubuntu apps work across the phone, desktop, and tablet platform is amazing in itself. Having the, also Linux based, Android app market a few code lines away from being available is downright dangerous. For now this is only available for Nexus devices, and it will surely be ported to other popular Android phones/tablets but Canonical does not yet have their own in-house flagship device. The community, as always, will continue to support them (and the software) and we will just have to wait and see what comes next from Ubuntu.
